Programme
Arrival in Tuscany by own transport or alternatively by public transport (Castelnuovo di Garfagnana station). Transfer to the agreed facility, accommodation and relaxation. Dinner at the facility or in an affiliated restaurant. Overnight stay.

We will leave around 10.00 am for our MTB tour, we will visit some characteristic villages with beautiful panoramic views and then reach the organic farm where the mountain wines of Garfagnana are produced. It is here that we can stop to taste the wines together with some typical cold cuts and cheeses of the area. After the stop we will leave with the possibility to visit the Apuan side of the valley and reach the lake of Vagli where there is the submerged village. We can easily change the length of our itinerary, which has a maximum length of about 52 km. Return to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel or in a partner restaurant. Overnight stay.

Depending on the structure chosen for the accomodation we will define the path to be taken to discover the area, small villages, chestnut woods, the Apennine mountains or those of the Apuans. The duration of the path will be agreed upon according to the requests of the participants and may vary from 3 to 6 hours with packed lunch. Return to the hotel. There are numerous possible excursions of a historical and cultural nature, including a visit to the ancient Verrucole fortress. For those wishing to play golf or go horse riding, it is possible to book the activity of your choice just a few kilometres from the hotel. For an excursion by car among the Apuan Alps it will be possible to obtain all the information to visit the lake of Vagli and the ancient alpine pasture of Campocatino, close to Mount Roccandagia. A special programme is the possibility of a day trip to the Cinque Terre National Park which can be reached by train. Return to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel or in a partner restaurant. After a relaxing morning near the structure or by the pool, with a car transfer of about 30 minutes, we will reach the “valley of the deep green” where we can enjoy the fantastic descent of the Rio Selvano, the funniest canyoning in Tuscany. No specific skills are required for this activity and children from the age of 8 can participate. Thanks to professional guides, the activity will take place in total safety. Our itinerary is totally downhill, with the possibility of diving from 1 to 8 metres in height, slides and abseiling or cableways. Return to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel or in a partner restaurant. We leave the hotel in the late afternoon and take a 20-minute car transfer to the starting point of our hike. This is a ring-route inside the Parco Nazionale dell’Appennino Tosco-Emiliano. We will reach the summit of Pania di Corfino where we will witness the daily spectacle of the sunset, which from this location will give us an unforgettable emotion. With the help of headlamps we begin our descent to a characteristic refuge where we can enjoy one of the many typical dishes of the Garfagnana. This is an easy itinerary and possible for anyone with a good physical condition; the programme is about 4 hours of walking. Return to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel or in a partner restaurant. Depending on the activity chosen, a meeting time will be set. The cave excursion is a unique experience in that it allows us to visit an underground environment of extraordinary beauty in speleological style. We will wear a wetsuit which will give us great comfort inside the cave and, if we wish, to dive into the underground lake. The excursion lasts about 3 and a half hours in its entirety and does not require any specific skills to be made. Minimum age 8 years. Return to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel or in a partner restaurant. Overnight stay.

For those who love walking, the ring-route to Monte Forato is a real gem of the Apuan Alps.
A very scenic loop hike with splendid views of the Tyrrhenian coast and the Apuan Alps will take you to this bizarre geological formation.
- Duration of excursion: About 5 hours
- Difficulty / Commitment: 6 (on a scale of 1 to 12) good physical condition required. The route involves 4 to 5 hours of walking with a fair difference in height over terrain that is sometimes demanding.

Special requests

For all journeys on foot, you will need hiking boots, a water bottle of at least one litre, a kway or poncho, a rucksack of at least 20/30 litres. Spare socks or T-shirt are recommended, as well as food or energy supplements.
Level of difficulty of walking trips
The trip is suitable for people who can walk, not necessarily trained but in good health. It is not suitable for children.
